South America is arguably one of the best continents for overland travel. Peru has made a name for herself with her amazing Incan masterpiece of Machu Picchu, Ecuador is known for the ecological paradise of the Gal\u00e1pagos Islands and Brazil is famous for her gorgeous beaches (and amazing people!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is so much more to see. Bolivia has some of the most impressive salt flats in the world, Argentina offers both stunning landscapes and cosmopolitan cities while being a gateway to Antarctica and Colombia has gorgeous beaches and is a hub for digital nomads. Colonial cities abound and offer a cheaper alternative to their counterparts in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best of all, Spanish is spoken across the continent (excluding Brazil) and the locals are helpful, happy and extremely patient as you tear apart their language. A badly-pronounced \u201cBuenos Dias\u201d gets you far on this continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South America’s northern neighbors in Central America are just as warm and welcoming although it is a small landmass, there is a lot to see. From the jaw-dropping Mayan ruins in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras to the ecological wonderland of Costa Rica, Central America has something for all types of travelers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite Destinations:’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

• Mexico <\/strong>– Without a doubt, Mexico is one of favorite destinations in Latin America. A rich, vibrant culture, delicious food, friendly locals…..best of all, it is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the US!<\/li>
• Argentina<\/strong> – Buenos Aires is one of my all-time favorite cities and Argentina packs a pretty powerful punch when it comes to tourist attractions. Breathtaking hikes, delicious wines and a seriously cool capital city make this country a must-see!<\/li>
• Uruguay<\/strong> – Argentina’s tiny neighbor, Uruguay is home of charming Colonia and Montevideo is a hippy’s dream city. Yarn shops and vegan stores abound and there is even a weekly organic market in the city center. It is also one of the most liberal countries in Latin America. <\/li>
• Brazil <\/strong>– From the city streets of Sao Paolo to the beaches of Rio, Brazil has something for everyone. Colonial towns are easily accessible for history lovers and the people are incredibly sexy. History, good-looking locals and an incredible amount of diversity – what not to love?<\/li>
• Colombia <\/strong> – Another country full of incredibly friendly people. Cartagena is a gorgeous walled city reminiscent of Dubrovnik and combines history, beaches and a great party-scene. Bogota is a down-to-earth city with charming neighborhoods climbing up her hills and Medellin has become a mecca for digital nomads. <\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
